What is the best sized pot to grow a strawberry plant?

One-gallon pot.

Q. How big of a pot should a strawberry plant be in?

Lisa

A. For strawberry production, a gardener with a green thumb might get by with what the nursery industry calls a gallon-size pot, roughly 6 inches in diameter and 6 inches deep. But life would be easier if you had a container that was bigger.

I would advise the average homeowner to go with at least a 2-gallon pot, which is roughly 9  inches in diameter by 8 inches deep.
