Apple Festival in Statesville (Oct 11)
STATESVILLE - October 11, 2012 beginning at 4:00 p.m. the Evening Farmers Market will host their annual Apple Festival at Pecan Park in historic downtown Statesville. St. Clair Orchards will have their truck loaded with a variety of apples to eat, cook or preserve for winter. Lynn St. Clair will be glad to answer all of your apple questions. Taste samples of a variety of apples plus sweet and savory easy to make at home recipes using apples. Enter our apple-peeling contest. The fastest peeler wins a prize.
Fall weather is here and fall vegetables are ripe and ready. Available now are greens, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, squash, apples, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, eggs, chicken, pork, & beef, home made baked goods, local aged wheel cheese, herb plants, homemade pet treats and more……
