Meet Local Sustainable Farmers and Tour their Beautiful Farms on the 7th Annual Eastern Triangle Farm Tour

This year’s tour features free classes on backyard chickens, edible landscaping, and growing organic veggies.

The 7th Annual Eastern Triangle Farm Tour Highlights of the tour include: urban community gardens; a goat cheese dairy; lots of friendly baby animals; fields of gorgeous late-summer, organic vegetables; fun activities for children; mushrooms; bee hives; hayrides; chicken tractors; and so much more!

The tour is Sept. 15-16, 2012 from 1:00-5:00 PM. This year’s tour features 23 sustainable farms in Durham, Wake, Chatham, Franklin, Granville and Person counties. The tour is self-guided. Choose the farms you want to visit on the interactive map at www.carolinafarmstewards.org/etft to plan your adventure. Visit any farm in any order. Don't forget to take a cooler so that you can bring home some of the farm fresh products for sale at many farms! No pets allowed. The tour is rain or shine.

Tour tickets, which allow you to tour all the farms on both days, are $25 per vehicle or cycle group in advance and $30 on the tour weekend. Or, you can choose to pay $10 per farm (available for purchase at all of the farms during the tour).
