RCCC offers introductory bonsai class (5-30-12)
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College offers an Introduction to Bonsai on Wednesday, May 30.
The class will be 5:30-9:30 p.m. in the RCCC Building at the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis.
Registration costs $80.
The course is designed to give participants an introduction to bonsai. After a short lecture and demonstration on style and care aspects, each student will create their very own bonsai from scratch. With guidance from the instructor participants will style, wire, and transplant their newly created bonsai into a bonsai container.
Included in the class: plant (garden juniper), bonsai container, wire, and bonsai soil.
