Cabarrus Adds Another Canning Class Due to Popular Demand

Due to overwhelming response to the Food Preservation Canning Classes this season, Pam Outen, Family & Consumer Sciences Agent has opened up one more class to be held Friday, July 6, 2012, 12:30-4:30 p.m. at NC Cooperative Extension-Cabarrus County Center, 715 Cabarrus Avenue-West, Concord, NC 28027. Cost : $20. The class is limited to 8, so spaces will fill up quickly. Participants will: make jelly to take a sample home with them; receive a Ball Blue Canning Book; recipes and information so that they will be able to preserve the bounties of summer Carolina living.
