"What's at the Wednesday Market?"
Opening Day for the Wednesday Lexington Farmer's Market is June 13th. At the market you will find fresh, locally grown, in-season vegetables, beef, seasonal plants and flowers, herbs and various homemade crafts items.
On June 13th we will kick-off our Wednesday market with several ""Gift Baskets from the Farmer's Market". These will be filled with assorted items produced and donated by our Farmer's Market Vendors that will be given away the day of the market. Items included in the gift baskets may include fresh "in-season" vegetables, local beef, seasonal plants or flowers, and craft items. Attendee of the market on Wednesday-Opening Day will be able to register for the "gift baskets".
Drawings will be held beginning at 8:30 a.m. and every thirty minutes throughout the morning until 1l:00 a.m. Winners must be present to receive their "Market Gift Basket".
In addition, we will have printed copies of some of our "Vendor's Favorite Recipes" available for customers to take home (while supplies last). And, of course, these recipes will feature fresh local grown vegetables, fruits, berries, beef and herbs that can be found at the Lexington Farmer's Market throughout the growing season. Come join us and "See what's at the Wednesday market" each Wednesday from June 13th through August 15, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon.
